The Otters continue to add local talent with the addition of five players from Tusculum College (pending league approval). These five young men will join the Otters for the 2017 PDL season. The five Pioneers to wear the blue and green this summer will be defender Sam Hall and Dario Ljubic and midfielders Shawn Foster, Ivan Andabak, and Renato Skoko.
England-native Sam Hall just completed his freshman year for the Pioneers. Hall has both the ability to play on the backline or further up the field as a midfielder.
Bosnian defender Dario Ljubic will play for the Otters after finishing his sophomore season at Illinois Central College. Ljubic started all 18 games for the Cougars and was able to record three goals and eight assists. Ljubic will continue his playing career at Tusculum College in the fall.
Shawn Foster appeared in 16 games and started the final seven games of the season in the midfield. The Knoxville-native scored his first collegiate goal against Coker in a 2-0 victory for Tusculum in early November.
Croatian midfielder Ivan Andabak made 14 starts for Tusculum and tallied one goal and one assist in his freshman campaign.
Renato Skoko is another player to join the Otters from Illinois Central College. With the Cougars, Skoko started all 14 games that he appeared in and scored four goals and added three assists in his sophomore season. Like Ljubic, Skoko will continue playing with Tusculum College in the fall.
The Otters will play their first home game of the year on June 6th at Kermit-Tipton Stadium against Peachtree City MOBA.
