Otters Announce 2018 Schedule

The Otters take one step closer to the start of their season by announcing their schedule for the 2018 season! The Otters have moved to the Southern Conference and are a part of the newly formed Deep South Division. With them is a trio of familiar faces as well as some new foes!

The Otters will play 14 games in total, with seven at home at Kermit-Tipton Stadium for the third straight season. This year they will face a wider array of teams including division opponents Tormenta FC, the South Carolina Bantams, Peachtree City MOBA, Mississippi Brilla, the Birmingham Hammers, and Memphis. Out-of-division, the Otters will still face teams fans will be familiar with from their first season in the PDL when they play home-and-away series with the West Virginia Chaos and Carolina Dynamo.

Like last year, the Otters will begin the year on a big road swing. Tri-Cities FC will travel to face Tormenta (May 19th) and West Virginia (May 23rd) first before heading to North Carolina to face the Dynamo (May 26th) on Memorial Day weekend. The Otters will finish the road stretch a week later down in South Carolina with their only meeting of the season with the Bantams (June 2nd).

The Otters will kick off their first home stand with their only meeting of the season with last year’s division winner Mississippi Brilla (June 8th). The following week the Otters will square off with the Carolina Dynamo (June 12th) and old South Atlantic foes Peachtree City MOBA (June 16th).

The final game of the home stand will pit the Otters against new expansion side the Birmingham Hammers (June 20th) before the Otters will travel down to Birmingham the following week (June 26th). Three days later they will travel across Tennessee to face the other new PDL side in Memphis (June 29th). The Otters last road game of the season will take place down in Georgia against Peachtree City (July 3rd).

Tri-Cities FC will welcome three teams as they wrap up their regular season schedule. First, the Chaos will return to Kermit-Tipton (July 7th) where the Otters will look to avenge last season’s last-second 2-1 loss. The final week of the season will have the expansion side from Memphis make their first trip to Johnson City (July 10th) before Tormenta FC come to town on the last gameday of the season (July 15th).

The Otters are just three months away from the start of their season! Season tickets will also go on sale in the coming weeks! Be sure to follow the Otters on social media for other upcoming team announcements leading up to the season. #FearTheFur
